If you have received your preliminary 2023 assessment for your property and would like to discuss/dispute it with the Tompkins County Department of Assessment you may fill out a downloadable PDF, or call to make an appointment to discuss with an appraiser in the department – 607-274-5517.

TOWN OF ITHACA – SHORT TERM RENTAL LAW
In 2021 the Town of Ithaca instituted a short term rental law. One of the main highlights of the law is the limit on the number of days allowed for unhosted rentals in a calendar year – see the law HERE. Town law requires that a property owner that is operating an unhosted short-term rental, needs to report to Code Enforcement each time that the property is rented and submit an unhosted short-term rental log.
